On this tour we will be recreating the journey of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army by crossing the Yalu River into North Korea. This tour is centred around the history of the relationship between China and North Korea, and is only a great insight into North Korean politics and ideology. Its popular with both first time North Korea visitors and political geeks alike!

This itinerary combines the must see of the capital Pyongyang and the infamous Demilitarised Zone with specially selected China-related sights of importance. We have also arranged a private discussion with a North Korean cadre who will give us his insight into the history and his Juche ideology.

One of a few highlights – we will visit the grave of Chairman Mao's son, who was killed by a US napalm attack. Back in Pyongyang we will cover all the most important sites such as the Korean War Museum, where they will be holding a special exhibit on Chinas involvement in the Korean War. This section of the museum is usually only available to Chinese visitors but we have managed to obtain once off access for this tour which is incredibly rare. We'll also take a trip to the notorious DMZ which sits on the border between North and South.
