Join us for our inaugural trip to the little-known Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan! Sandwiched between India and China, Bhutan has maintained an utterly unique culture from most of the rest of the world, having firmly resisted aspects of modernisation for decades and paying particular attention to cultural heritage and natural preservation. Being an absolute monarchy (led by the ‘Dragon King’ no less), Bhutan has found it comparatively easy to maintain a culture some might see as ‘archaic’, but that is slowly changing.

Right now, it is only possible to visit Bhutan through approved tour operators, much like North Korea. As a result, Bhutan has been spared the hordes of tourists that might otherwise be swarming its enchanting streets, forests and monasteries. This could soon change, so visiting sooner rather than later is vital if you want to get the best Bhutanese experience possible!

In view of providing the best experience possible, we’ve designed an itinerary through our local contacts that we feel will give you the best view of the Dragon Kingdom. We will fly from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, using Bhutan’s national airline, Druk Air and arrive in the capital of Thimphu. From there, we will experience the wide array of monasteries, museums and other unique cultural hotspots. We will be visiting everything from the Temple of Fertility, built by someone nicknamed the ‘Divine Madman’ and the gorgeous Tiger’s Nest Monastery, built right into a mountain near Paro!
